Veterans and navy members within the UW–Madison neighborhood have been honored Saturday with a Veterans Tailgate occasion organized by College Veterans Companies, adopted by a flag presentation and flyover by Black Hawk helicopters on the soccer recreation at Camp Randall stadium. On the tailgate, UVS highlighted UW applications such because the Lacking in Motion Restoration and Identification Mission, UW Athletics’ Salute to Service Fund, and the 2023 Badger Veteran Photograph Mission. On Friday, the UW–Madison chapter of Veteran College students of America organized for small American flags to be planted on Bascom Hill, many with notes honoring particular veterans and navy members.
